  2. How has your cultural background influenced your lifestyle or values?


Part 2: Cue Card

  • Describe a traditional custom in your country that you find interesting.

    • You should say:

      • What the custom is

      • How it is practiced

      • Who usually participates in it

    • And explain why you think this custom is important.


Part 3: Discussion Questions

  1. In what ways has technology influenced cultural traditions?

  2. Do you think traditional art forms, such as music and dance, are losing popularity? Why or why not?

  1. What kind of cultural activities do you enjoy participating in?

  2. Is there a famous figure from your culture that you admire? Why?


Part 2: Cue Card

  • Describe a cultural difference you noticed while traveling or living in another country.

    • You should say:

      • What the difference was

      • How it affected your experience

      • How you adapted to it

    • And explain why this difference stood out to you.


Part 3: Discussion Questions


  1. How does cultural diversity benefit society?

  2. In what ways can governments protect and promote cultural heritage?

Part 3: Discussion Questions

  1. How does globalization affect local cultures?

  2. Do you think cultural traditions are important for young people to continue? Why or why not?


These questions should provide a good balance across the three parts of the IELTS speaking test.

  2. How do you usually manage your finances? Do you use any budgeting tools?

  • Describe a financial decision you made recently.

    • You should say:

      • What the decision was

      • Why you made this decision

      • How you felt about it

    • And explain if you think you made the right choice.


Part 3: Discussion Questions

  1. In what ways can people develop good financial habits from a young age?

  2. How has technology changed the way people manage their finances today compared to the past?

  2. Is it better to invest in experiences or material goods? Why?
