Ran does Halloween

Ran was excited for Halloween night. Dressed in his ghost costume, he held his flashlight tightly as he set out on his big adventure around the block. The air was chilly, and a big, bright moon hung in the sky.

He tiptoed past his friend Lily’s house. "Boo!" she whispered from behind a tree, making

Ran giggle. Together, they peeked at the dark houses. Pumpkins with glowing faces watched them from the porches, flickering gently.

As they reached the last house on the street, an old house with creaky steps, Ran took a deep breath. "Are you ready?" he asked Lily. They slowly walked up the stairs. Suddenly, the door opened, and a friendly witch appeared!

"Happy Halloween!" she said, handing each of them a shiny red apple and a chocolate bar.

Ran and Lily laughed as they hurried down the steps. “That wasn’t so scary!” Ran said, munching his candy. Together, they walked home, happy with their adventure and the treats they had gathered. Halloween night had been a big success!

Easiest version:

Ran was excited for Halloween night. He wore his ghost costume and held his flashlight tight as he went outside. The air was cool, and the big moon was shining in the sky.

Ran walked to his friend Lily’s house. "Boo!" she whispered, jumping out from behind a tree. Ran giggled, and together they started their Halloween adventure.

They walked down the street, looking at all the spooky houses. Pumpkins with glowing faces stared back at them from the porches.

At the end of the street, they saw the old, creaky house. Ran took a big breath. "Are you ready?" he asked Lily. They held hands and walked up the wobbly steps.

Suddenly, the door opened! A friendly witch smiled at them. "Happy Halloween!" she said, giving them shiny red apples and chocolate bars.

Ran and Lily laughed as they ran back down the steps. “That wasn’t scary at all!” said Ran, taking a bite of his candy.

With happy hearts and full treat bags, they walked home. Halloween night had been the best adventure ever!
